Social Groups
Spira-Aurum’s neurodivergent social groups provide a safe and welcoming space where participants can connect with others who share similar experiences and interests. These groups offer a platform for tweens and teens to share their stories, seek advice, and access resources that are tailored to their specific needs.
The group is led by a trained facilitator who has experience working with neurodivergent individuals. Although we prepare some psychoeducational activities, games and discussion topics in advance, participants are welcome (and encouraged) to bring any games, discussion topics, activities or materials – that relate to their specific interests – to the group.
In this group, we aim to prioritise the incorporation of each participant’s specific needs and interests in the learning process and group discussions, favouring personal input over a strictly structured approach to sessions. Accordingly, we hope to address the unmet need identified amongst neurodivergent, teens/tweens to have a non-judgmental space where psycho-social learning can take place.

These groups are NOT a replacement for therapy. They have been created to address the need for neurodiversity-affirming social groups amongst young neurodivergent individuals.
